Our district includes three missionaries who have all served in Novi Sad, Serbia. It's fun that they all have this common bond of their love for the people in Serbia. Elder James Christensen had helped put on a ping pong tournament in the Novi Sad Branch and he organized the board for a fun tournament in Rijeka. Those of us less skilled in ping pong were nevertheless part of the competition! It was so fun playing and watching others play. We have several serious ping pong players in our Branch, including Perry.
The second half of the evening was the exciting opening of Ivan's mission call. Perry and our missionaries planned a Facebook Live video for Ivan with about 60 people on the call. Ivan had reached out to his past seminary teachers, Branch Presidents and past missionaries he's known. Ivan came dressed as a missionary to open his call! It was a great experience to be a part of it.
