Our missionaries have one super P-day every 12-14 week transfer. Our P-days are always on Mondays. We have been waiting for weeks for the rain to stop. It's rained on every Monday for the last 5 weeks. We canceled our P-day last week and hoped for better weather this week. When we left it was raining and as we headed up to Slovenia it rained even harder. But all day long, stop after stop, it rained as we drove but when we arrived it was DRY and not raining and beautiful. Get back in the car and drive a few miles to the next destination and the rain would start again. Time after time. Beautiful in Bled, Slovenia, beautiful in Ljubljana, Slovenia, beautiful in Mošćenice, Croatia, stunning on the Island of Cres, Croatia. Finally, back to Rijeka, Croatia and it started to rain again. It was a wonderful day.
Our mission includes Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Our young missionaries often serve in 3 of these countries during their mission. Slovenia is such a different language that few missionaries get to serve there. We wanted our missionaries to have the opportunity to at least visit Slovenia. We had a whirlwind day seeing Slovenia and the Island of Cres.
