Special P-day to Pula and Rovinj with our Rijeka missionaries
We had a fun day with the four young missionaries that we serve with in our city. (From the left- Elder Stastny, Elder Bird, Sister Taylor and Sister Roberts) We work very closely with these terrific young missionaries serving our small church congregation, sharing the gospel, planning fun branch activities, having meals together, cleaning the church every Saturday morning and more.
The Pula Arena is (according to Wikipedia) "among the six largest surviving Roman arenas in the world." It was constructed in 27 BC- 68 AD. It is a striking photo opportunity and we had fun being creative!. We also visited the Temple of Augustus, that was originally built between 2 BC and AD 14. It was reconstructed between 1944-1947 after being damaged in WWll. The city of Pula is on the tip of Croatia's Istrian Peninsula.
Only 30 minutes from Pula is the beautiful coastal city of Rovinj.
