We all fit in the mission van. We were hoping for a winter wonderland but two days earlier the weather warmed and it rained and melted the snow and ice. The result was a huge amount of water flowing in the waterfalls.
It was so nice to get to know these great senior missionaries more. The Rampton's just arrived a couple of months ago. All of the senior couples who serve in our Adriatic North Mission are really wonderful- willing to serve, great life experience and full of faith, love and fun.
We stayed overnight at the mission home and then headed out about 8 am and drove 2 hours to Plitvice and walked to where the bus picks you up to go further into the national park. Then we walked to where the boat ride leaves and had our picnic lunch while we waited for it.
We had fun talking all of the way back to Zagreb and dropped everyone off and stayed an hour at the mission home visiting with the Rand's and Ward's (senior couples serving in Slovenia) while they made dessert for the young missionaries. Then off to Rijeka getting home about 9 pm.
