Perry and I attended leadership training for all of the Church leaders in Croatia in Zagreb last weekend. In our women's break out session we talked about how to minister to our sisters. They mentioned that families here don't like spontaneous drop in visits. The reason is that they wish to be prepared to be gracious hosts to their visitors and would like to have juice or something to offer their visitors and would expect their visitors to stay awhile. Last month I went with the young sister missionaries to go door to door in an apartment building looking for those interested in our gospel message. A good-hearted elderly woman invited us in and gave us juice and shared how faith was so important to her.
Perry and I are so fortunate to have a good gym to work out in 2-3 times a week. Lately, I've had several good conversations while on the bicycle. It makes exercising so much more enjoyable. The one time, I had already bicycled for my usual 20 minutes when a friend of ours, Lucija, who's a college student began to cycle. We talked about her love of the outdoors and places to visit and then the good and bad or being a college student. Turns out I spent an hour cycling.
