We just experienced our Croatia Summer Zone conference and had so much fun with everyone. Perry and I were the food planners for the two days- so of course we planned Beef and Chicken Fajitas for dinner and Pulled Chicken Sandwiches with coleslaw for lunch along with great salads. For Breakfast we served French toast with Dad's homemade syrup, scrambled eggs w Ham, tortillas and fresh fruit. Prior to the conference our Elders reminded us a few times "how hungry the Elders always are." And afterwards other of the missionaries remarked " the Summer Conference is only as good as the food!" We got lots of compliments from the Elders for the quality and quantity! All of the Senior missionaries helped shop, prepare and clean up after the meals for 36 people. It's really touching how the Senior missionaries are so ready to support and help the young missionaries!

For the fun activity we walked to a nearby park and played spike ball and kick ball. Dad and I both played. I tried to not be noticed for not being up to bat but President Melonakos noticed and I had my turn at bat. Luckily I even got on base and actually brought in a run. The next day, two of the Elders acted out a series of movie clips adjusted with a missionary theme! It was super creative and funny. The two assistants wrote a terrific song about the mission and everyone liked it so much they sang it again the 2nd day. The senior couple in Novi Sad, Serbia knew someone working on the Rome Temple and Sister Melonakos gave us each a stained glass leaf from the Rome Temple.
