Beauty of Croatia

This part of the world has a lot of beautiful scenery! We are serving in the city of Rijeka, Croatia that is on the Adriatic Sea.  The climate on the coast of Croatia is Mediterranean and everything grows well here. Looking from our desks we see two cherry trees, a grapevine arbor, a palm tree and beautiful roses. We've had fun picking cherries and sharing them with our missionaries. One of my favorite flowers/bushes are Hydrangeas. There are so many varieties here!

On our last P-day we took a drive towards Pula over a mountain and then back to Rijeka stopping in the seaside town of Lovran.  It's so enjoyable to see the beautiful Adriatic Sea.

This last photo below is looking at the Trsat castle above Rijeka. It's at the upper left in the photo. We've driven up to it, but hear there are 568 steps from the town up to the castle that would be fun to climb!
