We're enjoying getting to know branch members through church and the Self-Reliance class.
We're half-way through a 12 week Church Self-Reliance course on how to get a job with 4 church members. One member is an amazing 17 year old young man, Ivan, who attends just to translate. His English is amazing. Our facilitator, senior missionary Sister Ezard, speaks English and German but not fluent Croatian. Sister Ezard loves that Perry brings his HR experience to the class.
I'm playing the piano for church each Sunday. I was practicing at the church each week but now I'm borrowing a portable electric piano so I can practice at home.
For our first time attending the branch movie night we brought our grandkids' Tucker and Leila's favorite movie "Trolls" in Croatian. It really had 7 different language possibilities. Our missionaries were really impressed with the translation of even the songs in Croatian! They really enjoyed it. Plus, we loaned it to our landlord since they have 2 children.
